I Make Air Fryer Chicken Thighs When Dinner Starts Feeling Like Work
Grab the free printable and get crispy chicken started tonight.

Hey tired Wednesday cook,
Last Wednesday I got home at 6:15, still in my coat, and stood in front of the fridge without opening it. I knew we had food. I just couldn't think of what to do with it.
That's the kind of tiredness where your brain checks out before your body does. I've been there more times than I can count.
The air fryer chicken thighs saved dinner that night, and I'm never going back to a bad Wednesday again.
I've been making these air fryer chicken thighs on rotation ever since I figured out what was making them come out soggy every time. The fix is one step and it takes about 60 seconds to do.
Grab the free printable and I'll show you exactly what that step is.
The Crispy Debate
Does cooking chicken thighs in an air fryer count as real cooking?
How I Make Air Fryer Chicken Thighs On A Wednesday Night
I've made these on nights where I had 25 minutes and zero patience, and they still came out right:
Step 1: Pat the skin completely dry with paper towels before oil or seasoning touches it. Wet skin steams instead of crisping, and that's where most people lose it.
Step 2: Preheat your air fryer at 400F for 5 minutes, then coat the thighs in your seasoning and place them skin-side down in a single layer.
Step 3: Cook for 12 minutes, flip, then keep going until the thermometer reads 185F at the thickest part.
The rest of the steps, timing table, and all three marinades are waiting for you in the free printable.
Which Marinade I Reach For On A Wednesday
When it's already past 6pm, I go straight for the smoky paprika dry rub:
It's olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, cumin, onion powder, and salt.
Mix it and coat the thighs. They're ready to go in immediately.
There are two more marinades waiting for you in the printable. Grab it now and you'll have all three ready to rotate.

Wednesday doesn't have to be the night you give up and order out. I've made this recipe on the worst weeks I've had and it has never let me down. Tonight will be fine. I'm certain of it.
Your family's going to sit down to a real dinner tonight. You made that happen, even on a Wednesday.
Rooting for your Wednesday chicken thighs,
Mia Harper
